Day 74 #isolationcreationpartdeux⠀

I was out to get food today, thinking, I can’t take this much longer. When does this end? Where can I go to escape this new reality and just… be normal for a while? Rumors are like candy. I hear we might be like this until February. Another friend says travel won’t resume until 2022. Operas and live performances are canceled until 2023. 2023! I feel in shock as if the first run of isolation was some sort of fluke “that was weird” experiment.  But now here we are, on the second dance using numbers that only exist in the distant future… but when does this end? ⠀

I came back to the studio, a head full of chatter without ends. Then the most wonderful thing happened. I got to work. I put on this incredible gown and transported myself out of this world. Barefoot, without witness or rhyme, I felt totally free, free from reality. I am running through the garden of Versailles, it is now, it was then, it is stollen kisses under moonlit nights and champagne fountains, it is musicians and dancing under stars for hours. Laughing and simply all being together. The moments you immortalize in lockets that hang near your heart. Even though none of it was real, what’s the difference anyways between daydreams and memories. Maybe I have already lived those moments once before… maybe I was Lady Agnew of Lochnaw.⠀

Special thanks to @marchesafashion for the gown 💜 in collaboration with @andyespinozaart, my friend @monicarichkosann’s locket ✨, @camycooney & @johnbcooney for the French antique chair, and @cafelesvalseuses for putting the rose in my à emporter order last week ☺️💕
