This is the first hat that came into my life when I first moved to Provence — made by @jacquemus. I never wore hats before now but once introduced to the Provence summer sun, there is no way you can live without. I had such adventures with this hat from summers visiting châteaux to melting in the August shade by the crystal clear lake because it was too hot for anything else. I had no idea at the time, in a few short years of life, I would have a daughter who loves a good "chapeau", we’d be in a pandemic with nothing but our future dreams of “life as free as it once was.” For now, I’ll hold on to these summer memories and leave the winter chapeau to adventures with Eloise.
