The Flowers of Provence:
It's the year of flowers! In celebration of my upcoming book, The Flowers of Provence, I created a special collection of floral photographs foraged from the gardens and vineyards of Chateau de Mille for this summer exhibition Tempus Naturae or in the Time of Nature. Responding to the chateau owner's mission to bring the terrior back to its organic state after decades of chemical treatments to the vines, I wanted to put focus on the natural wonder and beauty they have brought alive again to this special place in Provence. Walking with Constance through the garden, she points out the birds, butterflies, and variety of insects crawling about and how they were not here some years before, but now, the harmony it all brings to the vineyard and our lives. This garden in Provence nestled upon the hills of the Luberon rolling in vineyards is a wash of the joyous rainbow of life. That's what I hope my photographs capture and bring into yours.
