Day 46 #isolationcreation ⠀

I just want to go on a date. Confinement with @kevinburg has been wonderful and I feel even happier with him 46 days into it than I did at the start, surprisingly. I guess I just appreciate all the things he does behind the scenes so I can focus on making art. What a true partner he is with Eloise and making the mundane daily tasks (cleaning, laundry, etc) fun.⠀

In our previous, previous life (like, pre-baby) one of our favorite activities was trying new restaurants, different foods, young chefs, old masters, natural wines, experimental cocktails, anything food related. It was a shared passion and I really miss the adventure of discovery together... not that discovering Kevin was making blueberry pancakes for breakfast this morning wasn’t equally as thrilling. ⠀

When I suggested to Kevin a portrait of us, in this moment, he was hesitant but I convinced him when I revealed that the thing I most want to do when this is over, is to go out together... just us again. ⠀

He showed up, without direction, and turned his watch towards me which was set to May 12th and said “it’s a date”.
