Day 102 #isolationcreationpartdeux ⠀⠀Still life of a Provence winter kitchen...⠀⠀I had to stop by Bonnieux today for a meeting with @marstonhouse. As I began to gather my things to leave, Paul and Sharon asked me, “What will you photograph today?” And I said, "I don’t know, I’ll just sit in the studio and stare at the wall until something comes to me." Then I looked over at their table and said, "well, maybe THAT". This gorgeous mortar and pestle and linen textile. They agreed to let me borrow it (spoiler, I texted Paul and bought the mortar and pestle from them because I fell in love while together in the studio... these things happen) to make this photograph. The garlic and the peppercorns are from my kitchen, and tonight will combine in this new-old-bowel to be ground by hand into a salad dressing. Look at that, it may be small, but what an adventure today took me on.
