Day 39 #isolationcreation ⠀
⠀
I awoke this morning under a blanket of fog. This whole experience is foggy, is it not? It just descended upon us and we can’t really see what’s on the other side of what we are living through, what our futures will look like. ⠀
⠀
Every day I watch the world pass by from this view frame I have been designated. Since this quarantine began the trees have bloomed and faces passing by have become obscured by masks. The market vendors stopped coming as did the teenagers that hang out after school. The sun rises to the window’s right and in the evening when I say my final goodnight to Eloise, I glance out this portal to see it set on the left. ⠀
⠀
But on this morning, as I set my gaze out onto the square of my Provençal village, there was not a sound in the world except the distant flutter of a bird’s wing to the toll of the bells which remind me, time does still exist.
