Day 19 #isolationcreation
Portrait of a family in 2020.
We received news that Coronavirus has reached our small town. Messages from friends warn that the next two weeks are the most critical for France to make or break the momentum of the virus. Our neighbors left us a couple masks for any necessary trips into the outside world. We are facing the reality now of living in a global pandemic. It has reached its arms around the world and is now in the village I moved to when I thought I was escaping the rest of the world.
We opened the masks for the first time today, a strange and jarring experience to accept the physicality toward our changed social behaviors and what emotionally feels like putting barriers up of distrust or a visible self preservation. We have never experienced anything like this, that goes without saying for most of us, and I look forward to the day when we don’t have to hide our faces anymore.
