Day 32 #isolationcreation

I find myself thinking... “this all happened so fast” a lot these days. The plans we were making, jobs we scheduled... you’d hear about Coronavirus on the news but it didn’t mean much, certainly not this. I think back to life before, my god how free we were. Not just in our movements but in our mind. Be barefoot, let your hair go, hug and kiss life is beautiful! And now, even as the weather turns we can’t be anything but painfully aware of our new normal.

French President Macron spoke yesterday evening putting a date on the “end” of our lockdown. May 11th. May 11th and some glimmer of what we once were will return. Not all at once, but the first step in a slow roll out of life as it was. But will we ever be the same? Will every bare handshake and naked face be not a symbol of friendship but danger?

I took comfort in listening to the French leader’s message. His words made me feel as if we will get through this, together, with love. If that means four more weeks of isolation - I will do my part so maybe I can know the woman in white once again.
