Event & Travel Terms

Ann Street Studio · Effective October 7, 2026

These Event & Travel Terms apply when you book a workshop, gathering, retreat, dinner, tour, or trip (an "Experience") with Maison Voyage LLC ("we," "us," "our"). They form part of our Terms of Use. Each Experience page may list additional details (inclusions, itinerary, activity level), which also apply. Please read Sections 11 through 15 carefully: they include an assumption of risk, a release of liability, and an indemnity, which affect your legal rights.

In these terms, the "Maison Voyage Parties" means Ann Street Studio, Jamie Beck, Kevin Burg and each of their owners, members, managers, officers, employees, agents, contractors, hosts, representatives, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates.

1. Booking and Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed when we receive your deposit or full payment and send you a written confirmation. By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you accept these terms on behalf of everyone in your booking.

2. Prices and What's Included

Prices are per person unless stated otherwise. Each Experience page lists exactly what is included (for example, accommodation, specified meals, local transport, activities, and photography sessions). Unless stated, prices do not include airfare, travel insurance, visas, passports, vaccinations, personal expenses, gratuities, or optional activities.

3. Payment Schedule

  • Events and workshops: payment in full at booking, unless stated otherwise.
  • Retreats and trips: the deposit and payment schedule are specified on each experience's booking page and confirmation.

If a balance is not paid on time, we may cancel your booking, and Section 4 will apply as if you had cancelled.

Bookings for events, retreats, and travel experiences may be processed through third-party booking and payment platforms. By completing a booking and accepting these Event & Travel Terms through the applicable booking process, you agree to the terms governing your reservation.

4. Cancellation by You

Please cancel in writing to kerri@jamiebeck.co. Cancellation timing is measured from the date we receive your notice.

Retreats and trips

  • More than 60 days before the start date: if a replacement attendee acceptable to us is secured to fill your reserved place, you will receive a refund of 50% of all payments you made toward the Experience.
  • 60 days or less before the start date, or if no replacement attendee is secured (whenever you cancel): no refund is due.

Any refund will be issued within a reasonable time after the replacement attendee's registration and payment are confirmed. You are welcome to propose a replacement attendee yourself, subject to our approval.

5. Cancellation or Changes by Us

We may cancel, postpone, or modify an Experience because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control (see Section 6) or for any other reason we reasonably consider necessary. If we cancel an Experience in its entirety, you will receive a full refund of all fees you paid us for that Experience. We are not required to reimburse third-party costs you arranged independently, such as airfare, travel insurance premiums, or other travel arrangements, which is why we require travel insurance and recommend refundable bookings.

6. Events Beyond Our Control

Neither we nor any Ann Street Studio Party is liable for any failure or delay in performance, or any change, disruption, or cancellation of an Experience, caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include acts of God, natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, epidemics or pandemics, public health emergencies, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government orders or travel restrictions, labor disputes, transportation failures, and venue unavailability (each, a "Force Majeure Event"). If a Force Majeure Event occurs, any refund will be handled under Section 5, applied reasonably in light of the circumstances.

7. Required Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of joining any retreat or trip. Your policy must cover, at a minimum, trip cancellation and interruption, medical expenses and medical evacuation, and loss of personal property, and must be in effect for the full Experience, including all travel to and from it. Please provide proof of coverage if we ask for it before the Experience. We do not provide travel, medical, or property insurance of any kind. If you do not obtain the required insurance, we are not obligated to provide any refund, credit, or other remedy for cancellation, interruption, injury, illness, or loss. Travel insurance may not cover every cancellation reason or every nonrefundable payment.

8. Health, Fitness, and Special Needs

By booking, you confirm that you are physically and medically able to take part in the Experience and its activities. Please tell us in advance about any allergies, dietary restrictions, medications, mobility limitations, medical conditions, or other needs relevant to your safety, comfort, or participation. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate needs disclosed in good time, but we are not responsible for consequences arising from information that was not disclosed in advance. We cannot guarantee any meal is free from allergens. If you have any question about your fitness to participate, please consult a physician before the Experience.

9. Passports, Visas, and Entry Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you hold a valid passport and obtain any visas, travel authorizations, vaccinations, or other documentation required for entry into and departure from your destination, including any countries through which you transit. Passport validity requirements vary by destination, and it is your responsibility to confirm and comply with all applicable requirements. We recommend consulting official government and embassy resources well in advance of travel. Maison Voyage LLC is not responsible for denied entry, missed travel, or additional expenses resulting from incomplete or invalid travel documentation.

10. Your Conduct

You agree to follow the reasonable instructions of our hosts and guides, local laws, and supplier rules, and to treat fellow guests, hosts, and local communities with respect. We may remove anyone from an Experience whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or unlawful, without refund. You are responsible for any damage you cause.

11. Assumption of Risk

Experiences may involve travel, lodging, dining, transportation, group activities, excursions, food and wine tastings, and social events, some in remote, unfamiliar, or foreign locations. These activities carry inherent risks, including illness, injury, disability, death, property damage or loss, travel delay or disruption, and exposure to communicable disease. You take part voluntarily and knowingly assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, arising before, during, and after the Experience, including risks arising from the acts or omissions of the Ann Street Studio Parties, other attendees, vendors, venues, or third parties. You agree to consume alcohol responsibly.

12. Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate, you, on behalf of yourself and your heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue the Ann Street Studio Parties for any liability, claim, or cause of action arising from loss, damage, illness, injury, or death you may suffer, or loss or damage to your property, while traveling to, from, or during an Experience, or while taking part in any associated activity, including where it results in whole or in part from the negligence of an Ann Street Studio Party, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. You waive the benefit of any law that would otherwise limit the scope of this release, to the extent such waiver is permitted.

13. Independent Third-Party Providers

We do not ourselves provide, own, or operate transportation, airlines, hotels or other lodging, restaurants, excursions, activities, medical or emergency services, or similar services arranged in connection with an Experience ("Third-Party Providers"). These are independent businesses, not our agents or employees. We may arrange or recommend them as a convenience to you, but we are not responsible for their acts, omissions, errors, representations, negligence, or misconduct, or for any resulting injury, damage, loss, delay, or inconvenience. Their own terms and policies apply to your use of their services, and claims relating to them should be directed to them.

14. Personal Property

The Ann Street Studio Parties are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or destruction of personal property you bring to or use during an Experience, including luggage, electronics, jewelry, travel documents, and personal effects, however caused. It is your responsibility to insure any property you wish to protect.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Ann Street Studio Parties from all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your participation in an Experience; (b) your breach of these terms; or (c) your negligent, reckless, or intentional acts or omissions, including claims brought by third parties as a result of your conduct.

16. Limits and Your Legal Rights

To the fullest extent the law allows, and subject to Section 10 of our Terms of Use, our total liability for any claim relating to an Experience is limited to the price you paid for that Experience. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud or, where the law does not permit a release, for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. If mandatory consumer or package travel laws apply to your booking, they apply in addition to these terms.

17. Photography, Video, and Likeness

Experiences are photographed and filmed. By attending, you permit us and our designees to photograph and record video or audio of you, and to use, reproduce, edit, and publish your name, image, likeness, and voice from those recordings, without compensation, for marketing, promotional, and archival purposes, including on websites, social media, advertising, and printed materials. You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, or do not want such content used for marketing, please tell us in writing before the Experience begins and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate you. In a group setting you may still appear incidentally in the background of images.

18. Participation Agreement

Before a retreat or trip begins, each attendee will be asked to sign a separate Attendee Waiver, Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnification Agreement reflecting these terms. Signing it is a condition of participation.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved as described in Section 13 of our Terms of Use.

20. Complaints

If something is not right during an Experience, please tell your host immediately so we can fix it. If an issue is not resolved on the spot, write to kerri@jamiebeck.co within 30 days of the Experience ending.
