Do you remember the flowers in your room when you first arrived to Chateau Starling? Can you still picture the blooms on the table of our long dinners? Can you smell the ancient roses that lent their aroma to our garden ball under the Provençal sky?
After our final goodbyes of this unforgettable week, I took a final walk alone through our shared chateau that almost felt sacred at this point. Every room was filled with happy memories, laughter, sharing, tears (the good kind), and a certain magic that can only be described as “so Starling.” I gathered all the flowers left from these moments for us and brought them back to my studio. I arranged them together inside the vintage vase I had found that perfect day at the brocante market we explored together.
Maybe a part of me never wanted this week to end. Did you want it to last forever too?
Art is life, and for it to be so, every part of this image was created from something present during that week. Tucked among the flowers is a small cluster of bees, a tribute to the remarkable hive that arrived over the wishing well as we first gathered, stayed with us for a few days, and then moved on to find its home. It felt like a gift, an omen, and something quietly magical that we all experienced together.
I thought about the still life from the Duchy of Uzès as I shaped the bouquet. I thought about how the variety of flowers was such a perfect representation of all the Starlings present. Each their own flower, each beautifully unique, and all together, something really special.
This photograph became my way of preserving what was impossible to hold onto otherwise: the beauty of the place, the tenderness of the moments we shared, and the feeling that for one brief week, something extraordinary happened. We were the flowers, and in this photograph, we can stay in our happy chateau forever.
This limited edition print is reserved only for those who were there, with the final edition size determined by the number of Starlings who choose to bring a piece of it home.

Only one limited edition series will be printed exclusively for those who attended Chateau Starling 2026. The edition number will be determined by the number of Chateau Starling guests who order. Each 11×14 print will be created by the artist in Provence, signed, embossed, named, and numbered as a true artistic memento of this week together, dreaming in the South of France.
